Ain't Gon' Lie Review
Welcome to another single review by Mr. 6 Wheels- I'm trying to provide a proper spotlight to artists. Today I'll be reviewing "Aint Gon Lie" By TWK featuring Jace. Now let's get on to the track. Beat and hook are on point. Some dope lines are by Kayce "Pull out the camera cuz these dudes keep the acting." Ace said "Ace is just that individual that just be lyrical." Benoit said "Got yellows in the back-call them lemon heads." DOPE! Jace ending the fire track with "Blow a whistle on the flute like a prostitute." I can't pick who had the best line on this track so you decide. We Infinite definitely has the lyrical game in a chokehold! I think I found a new track that I can ride out to. The Dark Half Review
Welcome to the second album review by Mr. six Wheels. Today I’m going to be reviewing the Dark Half EP by Jace. Jace is an independent rap artist from Houston, Texas and started rapping at the age of 16 just playing around with friends. In 2008 he started taking it more seriously, and started writing and recording as the first artist signed to the We Infinite Productions roster. Releasing his first solo project called The Mouth of Madness back when We Infinite was called Outsidaz ENT, and was changed due to the name already being taken. He took some time to study his craft and through hardwork, determination, and networking he met Mista Finesse Gee whom got Jace his first show at the Jet Lounge in 2011. Jace has worked hard for the past 5 years to be the best artist he can be by using wordplay and flow to match his intellect to dominate every beat he records on. Now if you’re not scared, let’s go to the dark half.
It opens up with The Dark Half which is a cool intro to the intro but the flow is a little off at times. Schizophrenia is dope where Jace goes in, does damage and send a warning shot to haters. The Darkness is what happens when you give when a serial killer gets a mic. Ha! Thoughts of the Hell’s Minion Part 1 is the dopest track on the EP where Jace just spits raw. Grimy N Gritty is dope. “Beat these pussies and draw them out like ‘Here kitty, kitty.” Alphabetical Slaughter ft. Ace and Keyce is fire, but to be honest- it doesn’t live up to the name of the track and I wasn’t really feeling the hook. Keyce ripped it. Thoughts of the Hell’s Minion Part 2 is dopeness again. “One verse from Jace will make your whole album better.” Microphone Barbarians is Jace spitting raw bars with K. I. D. Illuminati and they each rip the beat up. “Flip up like a light switch.” I actually like this over Alphabetical Slaughter. America’s Nightmare is Jace straight murdering the whole track and a great ending to the album.
I give the EP 8.5 out of ten. Production was nice all the way through, just some of the lines fell to the wayside. Thoughts of the Hell’s Minion Part 1 is my favorite track. My favorite lines on the EP are “I don’t have any enemies- only body parts.” “I’ll spit you out with a knife and a fork.” You can listen to the EP and judge for yourself here http://www.audiomack.com/album/we-infinite-productions/the-dark-half-ep Tell me what you think about it in the comments. Make sure that you support the underground, because we’re all we got.
